Singaraja – October 11, 2024. The Midwifery Study Program Lecturers from Ganesha University of Education Faculty of Medicine achieved remarkable recognition as “The Presenters with Gold Award in Midwifery” at the 2nd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Approaches in Health Science (ICMAHS). The event was organized by Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar and featured participants from both domestic and international backgrounds.
The award-winning research, titled “Perceptions and Social Supports of the Community for Children with HIV/AIDS (CWHA’s).” Conference was conducted by a team of dedicated lecturers: Ketut Espana Giri, S.ST., M.Kes., (team leader), Hesteria Friska Arminia Subratha, S.ST., M.Kes., (member 1), and Ns. Made Ririn Sri Wulandari, S.Kep., M.Kep., (member 2). The presentation, delivered by Hesteria Friska Arminia Subratha, highlighted critical findings regarding the low levels of community perception and social support provided to children living with HIV/AIDS. This research highlighted the importance of fostering community awareness and encouraging accurate information dissemination to provide much-needed social support for children with HIV/AIDS. By doing so, the community can significantly contribute to improving the quality of life for these children.
The award reflects the commitment of the Midwifery Study Program at FK Undiksha to addressing pressing health issues and advocating for the vulnerable populations. It is hoped that this recognition will inspire continued efforts in promoting informed and empathetic support for children with HIV/AIDS.
