Singaraja – Undergraduate Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University organizes a visiting lecture on September 21, 2023. This activity was held offline in the Integrated Health Laboratory Building, Classroom Floor 3. This time the expert lecture presented Ns. Ketut Sri Krisna Dewi, S.Kep is a senior nurse practitioner in the ICU at Buleleng Regional Hospital. He provides lectures and practicums for medical-surgical nursing courses. The material provided includes the competency of nurses in carrying out careWater Seal Drainage (WSD), measurementCentral Venous Pressure (CVP), and tracheostomy care.
Expert lectures are a routine agenda for the FK Undiksha nursing study program which aims to provide the best learning experience for the Ganesha University of Education academic community. The provision of undergraduate-level learning in the Nursing Study Program at FK Undiksha has been packaged for 7 semesters. So activities to increase practicum competency have been carried out in the form of early exposure and clinical simulations since semester I. Practical learning packages are also carried out comprehensively and can be accessed via the learning management system(LMS) Undikhsa e-learning which contains material presentations, SOPs, and video demonstrations. Offline tutorials are provided by experts, guided and independent demonstrations by students accompanied by teaching staff.
This activity can be carried out well with the support of all stakeholders. The experts who were present on this occasion were FK Undiksha’s collaboration partners, in this case, the Buleleng Regional Hospital. Buleleng Hospital as a satellite teaching hospital is a vehicle for education for all study programs under the auspices of the Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University. Not only that, the practicum implementation is also supplied with sophisticated simulator mannequins from the clinical skills laboratory (Clinical Skill Lab/ CSL) FK Undiksha. This neat synergy and collaboration is a joint effort to create professional and competent nursing resources.(Red_FK)
