Singaraja–Koas is a professional program that medical students must undertake to obtain a doctor’s degree which is carried out in a hospital over a period of 1.5 years to 2 years. This term is also known as co-ass or an abbreviation for co-assistant.
The authority of a co-ass in carrying out practice in a hospital is very limited, where the co-ass can only carry out medical procedures under the guidance and direction of a supervising doctor (supervisor) because the co-ass is not permitted to carry out practical activities that are in direct contact with patients. considering that they don’t yet have a Registration Certificate (STR) and Practice Permit (SIP).
Considering the importance of young doctors’ maturity in carrying out co-ass, the FK Undiksha medical professional study program held a PRADIK (Pre-Education) Co-Ass activity. Pre-Education for Students This Medical Professional education study program is a continuation after students have completed the Bachelor of Medicine stage and hold an S.Ked degree. The education stage of the medical profession is to form a doctor and is carried out mainly in educational facilities, both educational hospitals, health centers and other supporting educational facilities. Before students enter the Professional Education level, especially for learning at the Main Teaching Hospital, it is necessary to carry out Pre-Education for these students.

From this activity, it is hoped that young doctors will be able to better prepare themselves to undertake professional medical education.
