Singaraja –Herodicus Medical Scientific Writers of Undiksha (Hermestha) is a Semi-Autonomous Body organization that operates in the scientific field at the Undiksha Medical Faculty. Even though this organization is still very young, and is about to reach its 2nd year, Hermestha has been able to produce superior human resources in the scientific field both nationally and internationally. To celebrate Hermestha’s 2nd anniversary, the 2nd Anniversary of Hermestha committee initiated 3 main activities, namely Social Charity of Hermestha, Scientific Webinar, and the Peak Event of the 2nd Anniversary of Hermestha
Social Charity of Hermestha or what is known as Hermestha Social Service is a community service activity that targets people who need it more. This time, the Social Charity of Hermestha was held at the Ananda Seva Dharma Orphanage on February 13, 2022, and was opened directly by the Deputy Dean III of FK Undiksha, Dr. Made Budiawan, S.Ked., M.Kes., AIFO. This Social Charity of Hermestha activity consists of providing donations in the form of funds, necessities, suitable clothing, as well as books and stationery to children in orphanages. In addition, there were socialization activities about “The Importance of Maintaining Physical Fitness during the Covid-19 Pandemic”, group exercise, fun games and ending with eating fruit together.
According to the Chair of the 2nd Anniversary of Hermestha Committee, Kadek Edy Sukarma, this Social Charity of Hermestha activity carries the theme “Harmony in Solidarity to be Great Generation of Hermestha” which means that we as a generation of change (agents of change) should be able to collaborate with various elements within the framework solidarity and harmony so that it is hoped that it can form a great generation of Hermestha FK Undiksha. One of the realizations of this harmony is being able to establish good relationships with fellow humans, which in Tri Hita Karana is called Pawongan, with activities in the form of social service to this orphanage. It is hoped that this activity can increase the awareness of FK Undiksha and Hermestha students in particular in helping younger siblings in orphanages who need our love more in living their lives and can make the Higher Education Tri Dharma program at Undiksha a success. One message from Edy as chairman of the committee is to make all the efforts we can to achieve something good, such as sharing love, good fortune, and happiness because every time we share, we can complement each other so that there can be harmony in this life.
