Singaraja – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) again held Training of Tutors (TOT), on Friday (15/10/2021). This activity, which is intended for clinical education doctors, is an effort to realize the implementation of quality education and teaching for students who will soon enter the hospital.
The activity which took place in the Buleleng Hospital Meeting Room was attended by 50 participants. There were two speakers presented, namely Dr. Dr. I Gusti Putu Suka Aryana, Sp.PD., K-Ger., FINASIM, and Dr. Made Darmayasa, Sp.OG(K). This resource person from Udayana University presented material about the quality clinical learning process and procedures for assessing students Based Place Assessment.
Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., who opened the activity on behalf of the Chancellor, expressed his appreciation for the support and commitment of RSUD Buleleng to always support FK Undiksha, especially in learning. He also admitted that he always follows developments at the hospital located on Jalan Ngurah Rai Singaraja. “The development of the Buleleng Regional Hospital is indeed good,” he said.
Through TOT, continued Suastra, participants will gain experience in order to prepare FK students to take professional education. Admittedly, the duties of doctors are somewhat heavier than those of lecturers. However, he hopes that these doctors can always provide support to FK Undiksha so that in the future they can produce quality and competitive graduates. “Therefore, we at the Ganesha University of Education would like to thank you for your commitment and time to guide our younger students (students, ed) who went to the hospital in February,” he said. On that occasion, he also expressed his appreciation for the presence of the speakers. It is hoped that the material presented can increase the insight and knowledge of the participants.
Meanwhile, the Director of Buleleng Regional Hospital, Dr. Putu Arya Nugraha, Sp.PD., admitted his commitment to supporting the education of prospective doctors from Undiksha. Apart from that, he said that hospital involvement in carrying out medical education would provide positive value. However, he emphasized that in this case, doctors who will be involved in education must still be able to provide excellent service to the community. (TFK)
