Singaraja – The Faculty of Medicine was founded in 2018 to prepare medical graduates who are ready to compete and able to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and welcome the era of the ASEAN Economic Community. One of the activities in an effort to develop the Undikhsa Medical Faculty was a discussion with an expert, Chair of the Indonesian Medical Council (KKI), Dr. Putu Moda Arsana, Sp.PD-KEMD., FINASIM, on Friday (2/7/2021) at the Puri Saron Hotel, Buleleng.
The Chairman of KKI explained that the Undiksha Medical Faculty in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 must be able to produce doctors who have futuristic and superior abilities related to local genius so that it will be able to solve the health problems faced by the community and develop the uniqueness of traditional Balinese medicine. Apart from that, you must also have integrity and understand ethics and professionalism.
Present at this discussion was the Regent of Buleleng, Putu Agus Suradnyana, S.T., Deputy Regent of Buleleng, Head of the Health Service, Director of the Buleleng Regional General Hospital, Chairman of the Buleleng DPRD, Head of the Buleleng District Prosecutor’s Office, Chancellor of Undiksha, Deputy Chancellors and Heads of Institutions within Undiksha. The Regent of Buleleng said in his speech that the Buleleng Regency Government stated that it was ready to support the development of the Undiksha Medical Faculty so that it could continue to make achievements and be able to produce high-quality and competitive graduates.
The discussion event closed with a field visit by the Chair of the KKI to the Faculty of Medicine at the Undiksha Campus, Jinengdalem Village, Buleleng. This visit is to see the facilities and infrastructure. Apart from that, there was also a visit to the Undiksha Campus on Jalan Udayana Singaraja to see the construction of an integrated health laboratory which is a concrete form of developing the facilities and infrastructure of the Undikhsa Faculty of Medicine.
