Singaraja – Three Undiksha students achieved proud results in the 2023 Badung Festival of Innovation (BFI) competition. This competition was held directly by the Regional Research and Innovation Agency of Badung Regency at the “Mangupraja Mandala” Government Center of Badung Regency on 12-13 July 2023, after going through a review and evaluation process by a jury. Through an Android-based application innovation entitled “MY MIND: Multi-Utility Mental Health Innovation for Pregnant and Depression Prevention”, managed to win 2nd place in this prestigious competition.
The Award Trophy was presented at the Mangupura event which will be held on October 25, 2023. This application innovation was developed by Luh Nadya Kartika Dewi (D3 Midwifery Study Program), Galih Gayatri (S1 Nursing Study Program), and I Putu Angga Pastika Febriana (S1 Informatics Engineering Education Study Program). This achievement was inseparable from the guidance of the two lecturers at the Faculty of Medicine, Ni Nyoman Ayu Desy Sekarini, S.ST., M.Keb. (D3 Midwifery Study Program Lecturer) and Ns. Shofi Khaqul Ilmy, S.Kep., M.Kep. (Lecturer in the Undergraduate Nursing Study Program). This application is the result of collaboration between study programs that aim to overcome mental health problems among pregnant women in Badung Regency, with a focus on preventing depression after the COVID-19 pandemic. This application offers various innovative features that allow pregnant women to measure their mental health independently, including screening, categorization, and initial treatment.
The team hopes that the development of this application can be an important part of efforts to improve, prevent, cure, and rehabilitate the mental health of pregnant women in Badung Regency in an integrated, sustainable, and comprehensive manner. Through the use of flexible and widely used Android technology, the MY MIND application is expected to be an effective solution in dealing with mental health problems in pregnant women.
The MY MIND team plans to continue developing this application so that it can provide greater benefits to society, including supporting the mental health of pregnant women. It is hoped that this innovation can inspire other students to contribute to creating innovative solutions that benefit the wider community. Congratulations and success to the MY MIND Undiksha team.(Red_FK)
