Singaraja – On social media, there is now a widespread phenomenon of cases of sexual harassment. This is known by the increasing number of sexual victims who speak up. This incident can happen anywhere and at any time so the public must be more vigilant in dealing with this case. It is not only in the community that this case occurs, until now cases of sexual harassment have entered the realm of educational institutions.
The learning process for students at the Faculty of Medicine, Undiksha, is not only on campus but also in educational facilities, so prevention efforts are very necessary in the form of anticipating sexual harassment among students and educational staff, therefore a discussion activity was held on the issue of anticipating sexual harassment among students in educational facilities.
This discussion took place in the RSUD classroom which was attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation Dr. I Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., and director of Buleleng General Hospital, Dr. Putu Arya Nugraha, sp. PD. On February 3, 2022
The follow-up to this discussion is the need for outreach to students and education staff regarding the definition of sexual harassment, how it can occur, and anticipatory efforts as well as the preparation of guidelines regarding reporting flows and task force teams from educational institutions.
It is hoped that this discussion can be the beginning of efforts to anticipate incidents of sexual harassment in the educational environment. (TFK)
