Singaraja – In order to improve the quality of learning, the D3 Midwifery Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University organizes lecture activities by Visiting Lecturers. The Expert Lecture will be held on Thursday, July 13 2023 at 08.00-12.00 WITA in the Seminar Room on the 3rd Floor of the Integrated Health Laboratory Building, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University. The Expert Lecture which was attended by Semester II (Two) and IV (Four) Semester Students of the D3 Midwifery Study Program took place in 2 (Two) Sessions.
The first session was on the topic “The Role of Midwives in Improving Women’s Reproductive Health in Tourist Areas”. The resource person on this topic is Mrs. Bdn. Ni Luh Putu Withari, S.Tr.Keb., SKM., MAP., with the position of Junior Expert Administrator for Family Health and Nutrition at the Buleleng District Health Service. This first session discusses midwives and the role of midwives, situations related to reproductive health, strategies for improving reproductive health, and improving the quality of family planning services. This expert lecture is a continuation of lectures, especially material in the Women’s Health and Family Planning courses.
The second session, “Identification of References for the Growth and Development of Babies, Toddlers and Preschool Children” was delivered by Dr. Lucky Yogasatria Natasukma, Sp.A. from BaliMed Hospital Buleleng. This second session discusses child growth and development, assessing child growth and development trends, and stunting. The expert lecture on this topic continues the Midwifery Care Course for Neonates, Infants, and Toddlers.
This expert lecture activity took place full of enthusiasm from students. Students ask a lot of questions to experts (expert lecture speakers). This expert lecture is a lecture given to students as a way to support student competence. This expert lecture will be useful for students so that this extraordinary time is utilized as best as possible to gain knowledge.(Red_FK)
