Singaraja – The midwife career development course in the community is a course that discusses the theory of midwife career development, understanding, and skills in the field of entrepreneurship in the field of midwifery services. This course appears in semester IV with a load of 2 credits. One of the sub-learning outcomes is explaining the marketing design theory of midwifery services in the form of Midwife Independent Practice (PMB) and Pomegranate Midwives.
Based on this, it is deemed necessary to fulfill the achievements that have been set by bringing in experts who understand and are qualified in their fields. In this regard, the lecture meeting this time on 22-3-2024, from 11.00 to 13.00 WIT, took place in the seminar room on the 3rd floor of the Integrated Health Laboratory Building, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University and was attended by resource persons from the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) PC Buleleng to fill in the material discussing INDEPENDENT MIDWIFERY (PMB) PRACTICE OF DELIMA MIDWIFE.
The resource person in this field is Bdn. Ketut Indrawati, S. ST. The lecture participants consisted of fourth-semester students and a team of lecturers teaching MK career development for midwives in the community. In the presentation of the material, it was stated that the requirements for a midwife to become a PMB Midwife Delima are that three characteristics must be reflected in every midwife’s behavior, namely: FRIENDSHIP, QUALITY, and reliability. Midwife Pomegranate symbolizes quality services in Reproductive Health and Family Planning based on compassion, courtesy, friendliness, a human touch, and affordability, with midwifery actions following professional standards and codes of ethics. Apart from that, the place of service must also comply with established standards.
Monitoring and evaluation of PMB Midwife Delima is carried out once a year by professional organizations, to evaluate whether the services provided have progressed or not, so that guidelines can be used to carry out further guidance. The discussion was guided by the moderator Mr. I Ketut Wijana, S. ST., M. Pd, during the lecture there was positive interaction between the resource person and the students participating in the lecture, the question and answer session was divided into 3 and each session was given the opportunity for 3 questioners. All questions were answered well and satisfactorily by the resource persons. At the end of the lecture, the resource person conveyed a message to the students participating in the lecture so that they would strive to become QUALITY midwives.
Next, the person in charge of the course on behalf of the study program expressed his thanks and handed over a certificate as a thank you to the resource person.(Red_FK)
