- Workshop TOI (Training of Instructure)
Workshop TOI (Training of Instructure) was implemented to improve the ability of lecturers in the Faculty of Medicine to become instructors in providing clinical skills for medical students. This activity was held on November 9 2018 in the Seminar Room of the Faculty of Medicine in Jineng Dalem Village which was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. M Ahmad Djojosugito, Dr. Sp. OT(K), MHA, MBA. This workshop was attended by all 14 lecturers in the Faculty of Medicine. The resource person for this workshop was R.Aj. Sri Wulandari, dr., M.Kes from Sebelas Maret University.
The workshop activity went very well where the participants listened to the presentations from the speakers and the participants were also very enthusiastic when asking questions during the discussion session. This workshop is very important to hold because in the learning process in medical education, apart from providing related knowledge, it is also equipped with several clinical/medical skills that must be mastered by medical students.
- Workshop UNTIL (Training of Tutorial)
Workshop UNTIL (Training of Tutorial) is an effort to improve the ability of lecturers in the Faculty of Medicine to provide learning or as tutors during group discussions for medical students. This activity was held on November 9 2018 in the Seminar Room of the Faculty of Medicine in Jineng Dalem Village which was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. M Ahmad Djojosugito, Dr. Sp. OT(K), MHA, MBA. This workshop was attended by all 14 lecturers in the Faculty of Medicine. The resource person for this workshop was Amandha Boy Timor, dr., MMEd from Sebelas Maret University.
The workshop activity went very well where the participants were very enthusiastic in listening to the presentation from the resource person and there was also very warm interaction between the resource person and the participants during the discussion. It is very important to hold this workshop considering the learning methods currently used by medical educational institutionsProblem-based learning (PBL). In this method, students are the center of learning (student-centered learning) which increases student independence for the critical review process and clinical reasoning. Implementation of the PBL method is mostly carried out in classes or groups consisting of 8-12 students, with group discussions or tutorials.
- Workshop Assessment
Workshop assessment was held on November 10 2018 in the Seminar Room of the Faculty of Medicine in Jineng Dalem Village which was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. M Ahmad Djojosugito, Dr. Sp. OT(K), MHA, MBA. This workshop was attended by all 14 lecturers in the Faculty of Medicine. The resource person for this workshop is Dr. Eti Poncorini, dr., MPd from Sebelas Maret University.
This activity was carried out to increase the ability of Faculty of Medicine lecturers to carry out appropriate assessments for medical education considering that student assessment is also an important aspect to ensure the achievement of learning objectives. Assessments must be able to describe aspects of the competencies taught or trained. On methodProblem Based Learning with pyramidsAssesment Miller, so that student competency assessment cannot be seen from just one test method. There needs to be adjustments to the depth and breadth of these competencies.
