Singaraja – The Diploma III (D3) Midwifery Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) received a field assessment for accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education Health (LAM-PTKes). The assessment will take place directly from 18 to 20 December 2023. This Field Assessment is to verify, validate, and clarify the data and information written in the Self Evaluation Report (LED) as well as carry out field assessments in the Study Program.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., representing the Chancellor, said that Undiksha as one of the Education Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK) in Indonesia continues to strive to improve quality and specifically increase the number of superior accredited study programs. This is not only to increase competitiveness but also to support Undiksha as a Legal Entity PTN. It is hoped that this field assessment will be able to make Undiksha’s D3 Midwifery study program a superior study program in the future.
Assessors, Anik Kurniawati, S.Si.T., Bdn., M.Keb and Uji Utami, Amd.Keb., SST., M.Kes said that the accreditation documents submitted by the Undiksha Midwifery Study Program were quite “beautiful”. However, his party continues to carry out direct assessments in order to see more clearly the conditions in the field as well as a space to obtain direct clarification. This assessment began with a presentation by the Dean of FK Undiksha, represented by Deputy Dean I, Dr. I Putu Suriyasa, M.S., PKK., Sp.OK. and continued with a presentation from the D3 Midwifery Study Program Coordinator Ni Nyoman Ayu Desy Sekarini, S.ST., M.Keb. Next, the assessor team visited the education facility and checked documents in the SPMI FK Undiksha room.
For your information, the D3 Midwifery Study Program at FK Undiksha is the result of a merger with the Bali Provincial Government’s Midwifery Academy in 2027. At the start of the merger with Undiksha the D3 Midwifery Study Program was under the auspices of the Faculty of Sports and Health (FOK) until 2020 and was accredited in 2019 and obtained a rating of B (Good). Furthermore, in 2021, this study program will be transferred to the Faculty of Medicine in accordance with Chancellor’s Decree Number 41/UN48/PJ/2021.(Red_FK)
