Singaraja –The enthusiasm to make the faculty superior continues to be carried out by the last faculty which was established in 2018. The Faculty of Medicine, with its purple alma mater characteristic, is again holding workshop activities which aim of course to make the Faculty of Medicine even better in the future.
This workshop activity was held online at PUSKOM (Computer Center) Ganesha Education University on April 9, 2021. The theme of the workshop this time was “Review of the 2021 FK Undiksha Medical Study Program Curriculum”. The activity was opened by the Dean of FK Undiksha, Prof. Dr. M. Ahmad Djojosugito, dr. Sp.OT(K), MHA, MBA. Participants who attended this workshop were lecturers from FK Undiksha, Buleleng Regional Hospital, and students.
In this activity, FK Undiksha presented 2 speakers, including Dr. Ardi Findyartini, PhD from the University of Indonesia, and Dr. Beta Ahlam Gizela, DFM, Sp.FM(K) from Gadjah Mada University. These two sources were very helpful in providing information regarding the review of the FK Undiksha Medical Study Program curriculum. He explained many things so that FK Undiksha would be more advanced and competitive in producing professional doctor candidates in the future.
The competencies possessed by graduates of the Undiksha Medical Study Program refer to the 2012 Indonesian Doctor Competency Standards (Indonesian Medical Council Regulation No. 11 of 2012). FK Undiksha’s Undergraduate Medicine Study Program applies a Competency-Based Curriculum, which is implemented using the SPICES approach (student-centered, problem-based, integrated, community-based, selective/early clinical exposure, systematic). The curriculum characteristics were developed in accordance with the vision, mission, and conditions of the Faculty of Medicine, Undiksha. Elective material was developed to provide opportunities for students to explore special interests (including ayurvedic science, pulmonary sports medicine, spiritual healing, and Indonesian herbal medicine).
The implementation of undergraduate and professional medical learning is an inseparable learning stage. The resulting graduates are medical graduates and have the professional title of doctor. This workshop activity aims to produce workshop work products in the form of a microcurriculum from FK Undiksha lecturers where the lecturers are able to review the learning objectives in each block module, and learning objectives in each clinical skills manual and are able to prepare appropriate assessments. in accordance with the competencies to be achieved.
At the end of the event, the Dean continued with the presentation of certificates to each resource person as a form of our gratitude to those of them who took the time to provide information and guide us in the future as FK Undiksha progresses further.
