Singaraja – New student admissions at UNDIKSHA have been completed. As is tradition at UNDIKSHA, new students are required to attend a campus life orientation period better known as OKK. The aim of implementing this OKK is none other than to introduce UNDIKSHA. This OKK is divided into 3 levels, including university level, faculty level, and department level (study program).
Located at the Student Center (18/8/2022), the Faculty of Medicine carried out OKK activities at the faculty level. FK Undiksha has its theme in this OKK activity. FK Undiksha gave the name MIOKARD (Orientation Period for Medical Campus Life).
MIOKARD activities are one of the plans of BEM FK Undiksha itself in each new academic year. This MIOKARD activity was opened directly by the Deputy Dean III of FK Undiksha; Mr. Dr. Made Budiawan, S.Ked., M.Kes., AIFO, he was not the only one present at this event, also the Deputy Dean II of FK Undiksha; Mrs. Dr. Ni Luh Kadek Alit Arsani, S.Ked., M. Biomed., Coordinator of the Medical Professional Education Study Program; Mrs. Dr. Ni Nyoman Mestri Agustini, S.Ked., M.Kes., M.Biomed., Sp. N, Coordinator of D3 Midwifery Study Program; Mrs. Ni Nyoman Ayu Desy Sekarini, S.ST., M.Keb., Head of Undiksha Administration Section: Mr. I Ketut Sumardana, SE, Head of FK Undiksha Laboratory; Mr. Dr. I Made Kusuma Wijaya, S.Ked., M.Kes., lecturer and staff at FK.
Participants in this orientation were 168 new students, 110 new students from the medical study program, and 58 new students from the D3 midwifery study program. This activity was filled with the provision of introductory material to FK Undiksha by the Deputy Dean I; Mr Dr. I Putu Suriyasa, M.S., PKK., Sp.OK online via Zoom, followed by the provision of the 2nd material on Facilities and Infrastructure of FK Undiksha by Deputy Dean II of FK Undiksha; Mrs. Dr. Dr. Ni Luh Kadek Alit Arsani, S.Ked., M. Biomed.
In the final session, the material given was on the theme “Time Management” by the Deputy Dean III of FK Undiksha; Mr. Dr. Dr. Made Budiawan, S.Ked., M.Kes., AIFO. Enthusiasm was visible in this MIOKARD activity. The interaction between the presenters and new students was very pronounced. A sense of kinship began to emerge little by little.
After providing material, new students were invited to Campus Surgery to introduce them to the FK environment. The new students will be handled by one senior for one platoon. At this event, new students will be divided equally on three floors of the FK Undiksha Building and then rolled around to look at the facilities and infrastructure at FK Undiskha. (TFK)
