Singaraja –Saturday 24 July 2021, taking place on virtual media (zoom meeting) FK Undiksha attended the “Coordination Meeting regarding Handling COVID-19” which is currently experiencing a spike in the number of positive infected cases in Bali which has increased rapidly starting from mid-July.
Attended by invitations from the Province of Bali (present in person) in the Meeting Room Gedung Gajah, Office of the Governor of Bali, Jaya Sabha: PANGDAM IX/Udayana, KAPOLDA BALI, DANREM 163/Wirasatya, Regional Secretary, Kadiskes and Kalaksa BPBD. Then invitations at the Regency level (via Zoom): Regent / Mayor, SEKDA, Kadiskes, BPBD, KAPOLRES, and DANDIM. Meanwhile, at the level of educational institutions that have health study programs, such as DEAN of FK UNUD, DEAN of FK UNWAR, DEAN of FK UNDIKSHA, RECTOR of ITEKES BALI, POLTEKES Denpasar, STIKES WIRA MEDIKA, STIKES BINA USADA and STIKES Buleleng.
The meeting started promptly at 10.00 WITA. Opened by the Governor of Bali Dr. Ir. Wayan Koster, MM. On the sidelines of the opening that he initiated, he explained briefly how the development of the COVID-19 virus, which currently has a new variant and a positive increase in society, spiked in the middle of July 2021. He said “The spike was in the middle of July 2021, to be precise as of July 23 2021 it has reached 1407, and cases of death due to being positive for Covid-19 amounted to 32 people. “The recovery rate is good at the moment, only the daily rate of positive COVID-19 cases is also increasing.”
It is hoped that all officials/apparatus in Bali in particular will immediately carry out vaccinations, centralized isolation, or implement the health protocols that have been created by the central government and of course, distribute the needs of patients who are centrally isolated or who are positive for Covid-19. The public is also expected to continue to comply with existing or newly issued regulations. Without the cooperation of the community and officials, it will be difficult for this pandemic to subside.
Dean of FK Undiksha, sirProf. Dr. A.S. M.Ahmad Djojosugito, Dr.Sp.OT(K), MHA, MBA, along with Deputy Dean II, Dr. Ni Luh Kadek Alit Arsani, M. Biomed, who is also the Head of the Undiksha Vaccination Team, was also present at this Coordination Meeting. He reported to the Bali Regional Secretary that FK Undiksha had played an active role in handling COVID-19, of course by being the vaccination implementer from the start of the vaccination activities. At the end of the meeting, the Regional Secretary of Bali said that today the Bali Provincial government called on health universities in the province of Bali to mobilize all resources to help the government overcome the pandemic.
