Manila – November 19, 2024. The Faculty of Medicine at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) successfully conducted a community service program at the Indonesian Embassy in Manila. The initiative targeted the Indonesian diaspora in the Philippines, including the staff of the Indonesian Embassy. The event was warmly welcomed by PLT. Atase Education and Culture, Manila, Drs. Mudzakir, M.A.
The community service focused on providing education about HIV/AIDS prevention and access to healthcare services in the Philippines. The team of facilitators comprised lecturers from the Midwifery and Nursing programs, including Dr. Luh Nik Armini, S.ST., M.Kes., and Ns. Ni Kadek Diah Purnamayanti, S.Kep., M.Kep. This event also involved an international collaboration with Neil Madurala Martin, Ph.D., RN., MAN., MBE., from the College of Health Sciences, Mindanao State University, Iligan Institute of Technology. This activity is part of the strategic policy grant program for 2024 financed by Ganesha University of Education. It signifies Undiksha’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and delivering impactful contributions to global communities. Through this collaboration, the Faculty of Medicine strengthens its international network while addressing pressing health issues and enhancing public health awareness among the Indonesian diaspora in the Philippines.
