Singaraja –Becoming a big and well-known faculty is not an easy thing to achieve. Founded in 2018, FK Undiksha has now entered its 4th year. The ASK (Medical Solidarity Action) activity which started on October 2, 2022 (opening event) will run until October 8, 2022 (top event). This series of ASK events presents various kinds of competitions such as sports competitions, e-sports competitions, and art competitions attended by the entire FK Undiksha community.
Reported from the webundiksha.ac.id, The peak event entitled Medical Solidarity Action was opened by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation at Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He, representing the Chancellor, expressed a happy birthday to Undiksha’s eighth faculty. In its four-year journey, this faculty is considered to have been able to demonstrate good quality and can add new study programs. In 2022, the Faculty of Medicine will have 6 study programs, namely the Medicine Study Program, Medical Professional Education Study Program, Midwifery Study Program, Midwifery Professional Study Program, Nursing Study Program, and Nurse Professional Study Program. “I see that the presence of the Faculty of Medicine, the presence of students from the Faculty of Medicine, has an impact on the academic environment getting better at Undiksha,” said Rasben Dantes.
In its increasing age, the Undiksha Medical Faculty is expected to continue to improve the quality of students, education and teaching, research, and community service. “I think what the current students have shown, from their achievements even though they are only 4 years old, is very encouraging,” he said.
Accreditation of study programs is also an emphasis for Rasbes Dantes. It was emphasized that accreditation is an indicator of the quality of a study program or university. “In the future, we will continue to improve the quality, whether through accreditation or other activities. What is important is that the essence of these study programs or universities is how they can produce quality graduates according to their competence, good character, and good doctors. “The doctors produced by Undiksha are humanist doctors, who can serve the whole community and all their patients,” he concluded.
This birthday celebration event was also attended by the Head of Undiksha’s General and Financial Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd., the leadership of FK Undiksha, and the leaders of partner hospitals.
Closing with a performance by Rocket Rockers, it is hoped that this momentum will provide encouragement and motivation for the faculty to be the spearhead of producing quality graduates. (TFK)
