Singaraja – The Internal Quality Assurance System often abbreviated as SPMI is a systemic activity of guaranteeing the quality of higher education by each university autonomously or independently to control and improve the implementation of higher education in a planned and sustainable manner. In this way, each university can develop its own SPMI, among other things, in accordance with the historical background, basic values ??that animate the establishment of the university, the number of study programs, and the university’s resources without interference from other parties.
The Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) is something that universities need to pay attention to. The challenges of managing higher education are becoming increasingly difficult. Technological developments and intense competition with universities both from within and outside the country are the duties of university managers. The implementation of SPMI certainly cannot be separated from the active role of the entire academic community in the tertiary environment, which is why before compiling the SPMI document, an understanding of SPMI is needed, both from the lecturers and staff within the tertiary institution itself. Because of this, every faculty at Undiksha needs to make an effort to understand SPMI well, including the Faculty of Medicine.
Located in the Seminar room of the FK Undiksha Building, the “Workshop on Preparing SPMI Documents for the Faculty of Medicine” took place. The workshop was held for 2 days (11 – 12 May 2023) involving participants, namely lecturers and employees of FK Undiksha. Also present was Deputy Chancellor I Undiksha Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I, who also opened the event. This activity invited resource persons from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. Nyoman Sadra Dharmawan, MS. He is a member of the SPMI TEAM, Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in the field of SPMI.
By carrying out this workshop activity, it is hoped that the FK Undiksha academic community can produce the expected results and of course, this will be accompanied by maximum team performance.(Red_FK)
