Singaraja – In order to support the development of the midwife profession and efforts to produce quality human resource graduates who have high competitiveness, the D3 Midwifery Study Program, Undiksha Faculty of Medicine, is holding Perceptor Mentor Training.
This Perceptor Mentor training was carried out online via Zoom media for 4 days, which took place from 15 to 18 November 2021. This activity was attended by 30 participants consisting of representatives from the inpatient health center and Buleleng Regional Hospital, as well as lecturers from the Midwifery Department, Faculty of Medicine, Undiksha.
This training was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Undiksha, Prof. Dr. M Ahmad Djojosugito, dr. SP. OT(K), MHA., MBA. This mentor mentor activity brought in 3 resource persons from central AIPKIND, namely Dra. Jumiarni Ilyas, M. Kes and J. M. Metha, M. Med and Dwi Izzati Budinono, S. Keb, Bd, MSc.
In his speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, he said, “With this perception mentor training, participants can improve their abilities so that they can get permission to open a SI Midwifery Study Program and a Professional Midwifery Study Program because quality education will produce quality graduates (human resources) who have the power highly competitive and has competence as a professional midwife, works independently, and is able to develop oneself and be ethical.”
Perceptor and mentor training is very important because this activity provides knowledge related to how to guide prospective midwives, educating prospective midwife students to be qualified while still involving students’ psychological aspects and facilitating students to gain professional experience.
