Singaraja – Monday, February 19, 2024, the online opening of Midwifery Clinic Practice 3 (PK 3) was held today. This event was opened by Deputy Dean 1 of the Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), Dr. I Putu Suriyasa, M.S., PKK., Sp. OK. Even though it was held virtually, the enthusiasm and passion of the participants was strong. At this opening event, Clinical Instructors, in this case, the Independent Practice of Midwives in the Buleleng Regency Area, Institutional Supervisors, and sixth-semester students were also present. Deputy Dean 1 of the Faculty of Medicine, in his speech, expressed his pride in the opening of PK 3. He conveyed the history of joining the D3 Midwifery study program at FK Undiksha.
Apart from that, he also expressed his appreciation for the superior accreditation that has been obtained by the D3 Midwifery Study Program. So it is hoped that students can maintain this quality by exploring the best possible knowledge when undergoing Midwifery Clinical Practice 3 at the Independent Midwife Practice. So that students can become qualified health workers and be ready to face challenges in the world of work. After the opening ceremony, there was also a common perception regarding the procedures for implementing PK 3. Clinical Instructors and Students were given guidance and direction on how they could maximize their clinical practice experience, including strategies for achieving PK3 targets.
The Undiksha Faculty of Medicine is very committed to providing high-quality education to Midwifery students. Clinical practice is an effective way to prepare students to become professionals who can bridge the gap between theory and reality in the field. With the practical experience they gain, it is hoped that students can make a positive contribution to the field of midwifery and provide quality care to the community.
The opening of Midwifery Clinic Practice 3 is an important step in the educational journey of Undiksha Midwifery students. It is hoped that through this clinical practice, students can continue to hone their skills and become competent, responsible midwives and have an awareness of the importance of quality midwifery care.
