Singaraja –Understanding service is very important to learn, especially for medical students from FK Undiksha who will now soon carry out “COAS” at RSUD and Puskesmas. To reach an understanding regarding the objectives of the service, rules, and regulations at the RSUD, it is necessary to hold Pre-Education for Students of the Medical Professional Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University.
Pre-education activities for students of the Medical Professional Study Program who will undergo clinical clerkships last for 2 weeks and are carried out in a blended manner, namely offline and online. Pre-education activities for the medical profession for young doctors will be held from 7 February to 18 February 2022 at the multipurpose room of FK Undiksha and via the application Zoom meeting.
On the first day, an initial meeting and initial presentation were held by the Study Program and Department representatives regarding the implementation of clinical clerkship learning for students. Students were fully present at the meeting. Discussions related to the implementation of clinical clerkships were held so that students got an idea of ??what they would undergo later.
The second day’s activities with resource person Dr. Ketut Andriyasa, Sp. PD with Infection Prevention and Control materials which is carried out offline in the multi-purpose meeting room of FK Undiksha Fl. 3. This activity also demonstrated the correct technique for using PPE, the correct way to wash hands so as to prevent infections in hospitals. The enthusiasm of the participants was seen from their activeness in asking questions and participating in demonstrations in the future.
On the third day, material regarding Patient Safety was provided by resource person Hari Sujadi, S. Kep., Ns. Material is provided regarding how to maintain patient safety so that patient service can be maximized and can also have an impact on the safety of health services. Participants actively asked questions during the discussion and were even given evaluations in the form of questions by the resource persons.
Basic Life Support training activities were carried out for 2 days, on the first day material was provided by the resource person, Dr. I Nyoman Agus Juliana, S. An., M. Sc, dr. I Gede Nova Wirahjasa, Sp. An, Dr. Gede Darmayasa Saputra, Sp. An online. On the second day, training was given to participants which was carried out offline in the lecture hall and multipurpose room of FK Undiksha. In BHD practical activities, given by Dr. I Nyoman Agus Juliana, S. An., M. Sc, dr. I Gede Nova Wirahjasa, Sp. An, Dr. Gede Darmayasa Saputra, Sp. An, Ketut Setiabudi, S. ST and Sang Nyoman Sri Mahendra, S. Kep. The training is divided into 3 groups, namely Introduction to BHD and CPR equipment, Adult and Pediatric airway management, Cardiac massage, and AED. Participants were very enthusiastic about participating in training activities both when delivering material and practicing BHD.
Pre-education activities for the medical professional stage are aimed at providing provisions for students (Young Doctors) to undergo Clinical Education. The training material provided is related to basic life support, infection prevention and control, patient safety, medical ethics, and journal reading.
From this activity, it is hoped that young doctors will be able to better prepare themselves to undergo medical professional education. (DFK)
