Singaraja –Becoming a medical student requires a person to always study wherever, whenever, and with any media. The Season 1 Scientific Meeting on Sunday, 27 August 2023 was presented as a vehicle for Undiksha Medical Study Program students to increase their insight and knowledge in the medical field.

Season 1 Scientific Meeting activities took place online via Zoom meeting by presenting extraordinary presenters. For the first time, Temu Ilmiah was able to invite an international speaker, namely Allison Macerrolo, MD, a lecturer from OHIO University who presented material with the title “Pre Travel Counseling”. In this activity, two students from the medical study program also showed off and performed extraordinary. The two students are I Dewa Ayu Ary Prisilia Putri with the material “Gastrointestinal infections: traveler’s diarrhea” and Ni Putu Leony Puspitayanti with the material “Sickle Cell Disease and It’s Complications during Air Travel.”

The interesting material made the activities very interactive, participants from lecturers and students were very enthusiastic in listening to the material and holding discussion sessions. The Scientific Meeting as one of the work programs of the Undiksha Medical Department Student Association organization will continue and be held periodically to always improve the quality of human resources within the Medical Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University.(Red_FK)
