Singaraja – OSCE is a method for testing clinical competency objectively and structured in the form of round stations within a certain time. Objective because all students are tested with the same exam. It is structured because certain clinical skills are tested using certain assessment sheets. During the test, participants move around through several consecutive stations. On each-? Each station has a task or question that must be done/demonstrated or a question that must be answered. Participants will be observed by examiners. At some stations, participants can also be tested on their ability to interpret data or clinical material and answer verbal questions. Each station is made to resemble clinical conditions as close to real as possible. In OSCE, assessment is based on comprehensive decisions from various competency components. Each station has specific test materials. All participants were tested on the same clinical materials. The length of time for each station is limited.
Located in the FK Undiksha Integrated Lab Building (9/12/2022), FK Undiksha carried out OSCE activities (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) for seventh-semester students (Class of 2019). There were 49 students from the Class of 2019 who took part in OSCE activities. OSCE lasts for 1 day.
It is hoped that by carrying out this OSCE activity, students will be able to better understand the medical science they have studied previously and that in the future they can apply it to the real environment. (TFK)
