Singaraja – Undiksha’s D3 Midwifery Study Program, as one of the well-known producers of midwives in North Bali, is one of the study programs from the Undiksha Medical Faculty which was only established in 2018. The D3 Midwifery Study Program is able to demonstrate its ability to compete at the national level. This achievement at the national level came from the “2021 Midwifery Student Scientific Writing Competition” with the theme “Update on Maternal and Neonatal Emergency Management”, which was held by the Banten Ministry of Health Polytechnic, Rangkasbitung Midwifery Department. The announcement was held on Thursday, June 10 2021 and the Undiksha D3 Midwifery Study Program Team succeeded in winning 1st place.
This team is supervised directly by Putu Irma Pratiwi, S.Tr.Keb., M.Keb, with a student team consisting of 3 people, including Putu Desy Riskayani (as team leader), Luh Sherly Budi Sapitri (as a member), and Ni Putu Dita Mahayu Pertiwi (as a member).
This competition was held online from March 24 to May 30, 2021. To win, of course, hard work from the team, cooperation, and high enthusiasm are needed. In this event, the D3 Midwifery Study Program raised the theme “Early Detection of Preeclampsia by Carrying out Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) Examinations at Antenatal Care Visits”, using the literature review method, namely collecting various theories and the latest research results which were then analyzed. Even though the D3 Midwifery Study Program team is still in its second semester and has not received the Maternal Neonatal Emergency Midwifery Care course, the students have been able to win.
The D3 Midwifery Study Program will continue to work to achieve the vision of “Becoming an Excellent Study Program in the Field of Community Midwifery Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Indonesia by 2030”. (TKFK)
