Singaraja – Undiksha Medical Service and Teleconference or UMESCON is a series of activities in the form of community service. With the theme“Dedicating Yourself to Build Humanity”, on this occasion UMESCON held an event with two series of events, namely offline through counseling and online via teleconference.
UMESCON was held offline on November 7 2021 in Bungkulan Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency. This activity focuses on education or health education to the public regarding bone health or osteoporosis. The activity began with joint exercises between the committee and the counseling participants. The event was very exciting because of the enthusiasm of the participants. After that, the event continued by providing material on “Osteoporosis” by Dr. Putu Kermawan, Sp.OT which was also accompanied by the distribution of brochures regarding osteoporosis. The outreach event regarding osteoporosis ended with the giving of souvenirs in the form of Calcar supplements to the outreach participants.
Six days later, the UMESCON series of events continued with a second series of events, namely a teleconference. This event was held on November 13 2021 at the FK Undiksha multipurpose building and mediazoom meeting as well as live streaming YouTube HMJ Medicine. This teleconference event has a theme“The First Step Regarding Health In The Tourism Sector During a Pandemic” which is also a form of implementation of the Undiksha Medical Faculty in the field of tourism medicine by targeting high school/vocational school/university schools related to the tourism sector.
The UMESCON Teleconference raised two materials, namely the topic “Medical Starter Pack for Tourism Workers” or the initial steps that need to be prepared regarding medical health for tourism workers presented by Dr. Made Kurnia Widiastuti Giri, S.Ked., M.Kes and material second with the topic “How to have a safe and healthy travel in the midst of a pandemic for Tourism Workers” or how to stay safe and healthy when traveling in the midst of a pandemic for tourism workers presented by Dr. Ketut Indra Purnomo, S.Ked., M.Kes. These two materials are certainly very interesting and useful for the entire community, especially those who work in the tourism sector.
