Singaraja –To improve the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in the health sector, the midwife professional education study program at the medical faculty has a strategic role in providing maternal and neonatal health services. To improve the quality of midwife education, there needs to be efforts that focus on accreditation. In the era of globalization, midwife professional education study programs must be ready to compete internationally. Strong and relevant accreditation is key to ensuring that this study program can be recognized and respected globally.
Accreditation standards for health education continue to evolve. Therefore, efforts are needed to review and prepare accreditation instruments that comply with the latest standards. This workshop will help midwife professional education study programs to adapt to these changes. Strong accreditation will improve the reputation of the Faculty of Medicine and the Undergraduate Midwifery Study Program in the eyes of prospective students, teaching staff, and stakeholders. This can provide an advantage in terms of recruiting students and establishing collaborations with other institutions. A well-accredited Undergraduate Midwifery Study Program contributes to patient safety by ensuring that midwife graduates can provide quality and safe health services. This reduces the risk of medical errors and increases public confidence in the health care system, therefore it is necessary to have a Workshop for Preparing Accreditation Instruments for the Undergraduate Midwifery Study Program.
This activity is carried out by hybrid (offline and online with video conference) for 2 days (21 – 22 February 2023). The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. M. Ahmad Djojosugito, dr.Sp opened this activity.OT, MHA, MBA This workshop also invited resource persons from Rr. Catur Leny Wulandari, S.Si.T., M.Keb (Sultan Agung Islamic University). The invitees who attended this activity were the Deputy Dean at FK Undiksha, the Head of the Laboratory, the Head of the General Sub Division, the Chair of the Quality Control Group, and the Study Program Coordinator at FK Undiksha. Also present were lecturers from the Midwifery Study Program, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University.
The aim of holding this workshop is to support the Midwifery Study Program, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University in preparing and improving the governance of the study program by the expected Tridharma Higher Education standards so that the results of the assessment (evaluation) of the quality and suitability of the study program can obtain appropriate grades. maximum and able to achieve superior accreditation results.
