Singaraja –The medical education process includes undergraduate education and the professional stage. Education at the professional stage is carried out mainly in educational facilities, including educational hospitals, health centers and other supporting educational facilities. The current Clinical Clerkship rotation has been going on for six months. Evaluation is required regarding human resources, infrastructure, curriculum, and funding. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out curriculum review activities that are participated in by all lecturers in the medical professional education study program. The workshop on preparing the curriculum for the medical professional study program in 2022 is an activity aimed at improving the existing curriculum. The product of this activity is the improvement of learning tools (log books) and learning plans per rotation in the Medical Professional Education Study Program. Considering its importance, a “Workshop Review of the Curriculum Review of the Medical Faculty Professional Study Program” was carried out, chaired by Dr. Aditya Prabawa, M. Biomed, Sp. O.G.
The workshop for implementing this curriculum workshop activity was carried out offline and was held on Friday, September 30, 2022, 3rd floor of the Faculty of Medicine seminar room. The curriculum review workshop activity for the Medical Faculty Professional Study Program was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who this time was represented by Deputy Dean III Dr. Dr. Made Budiawan, S.Ked., M.Kes., AIFO, chairman of Komkordik dr. Nyoman Suciawan, Sp. A, Director of Buleleng Regional Hospital, represented by HR Director Drg. Ketut Wika, Head of Department, Representative of Clinical Educator Lecturers, Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha Education University/RSUD Buleleng Regency, and Representatives of students at the Medical Professional level.
This workshop activity also invited two resource persons from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, the first being Dr. I Gusti Ayu Sri Darmayani, S.Ked, Sp.OG, M.Pd.Ked with a presentation of material on the Micro Curriculum for Medical Professional Education based on Indonesian Doctor Competency Standards and the second resource person was Dr. I Gusti Ayu Harry Sundariyati, S.Ked, MHPE with a presentation of material on Guidance and Assessment Methods for Clinical Education in the Medical Profession. This curriculum review workshop aims to improve the quality of the curriculum and learning tools for the Medical Professional Education Study Program and increase the achievement of FK Undiksha’s accreditation scores. Based on this workshop activity, it is hoped that a series of educational processes that comply with standards will be obtained and ultimately will improve the quality of professional education. (TFK)
